*Friday Bobby had an unexpected day off work, so we went to Amish country for the day. Such a fun day, petting some goats, lambs, baby bunnies, and a sweet little calf. The hilarious moment when Noah saw a cow peeking over it's pen and he yells, "mommy, look! That's a big dog"! Gnawing on a fresh baked doughnut, tasting cheese, just enjoying the day while I loaded up on dried beans, noodles, and other kitchen staples.
*About 6 o clock Friday night Bob and I painted Ellie's room. Took us two hours. Damn, we're good!
*Friday night movie night. Popcorn voted down in favor of a bag of Doritos, and Yogi Bear. Best part of the night? Two little babies snuggled into my arms, so content and warm they both fell asleep. Is there anything better than breathing in the scent of your babies while they are curled into your body? Pure bliss.
*Saturday we got up bright and early and spent all day outside working on the yard, playing with the kids, and just enjoying each other.
The Roth Tree
Bath #1, before nap. It was a two bath kind of day.
*Washing dishes and having Ellie bring me her play dishes to wash. Every few minutes i'd hear, "here, mommy" and she'd be at my feet, with a little dish or a cup.
You know how I know i'm a mom? Brightly colored plastic everything, and a Transformers towel...yeah I need to catch up on the laundry!
Playing some b-ball.
He's a ferocious dinosaur!
That's why I loved this weekend!
*I would also like to mention I wrote most of this blog while getting a foot rub. Seriously? Awesome ending to my weekend!!

Great bathtub picutre! What a great weekend you had! I loved when my kids were babies and they would be snuggling against me! I so love my visits to your site! Have a great Monday!
ReplyDeleteFound you on Bloggy Moms.
ReplyDeleteI loved reading about your weekend and I am seriously jealous that you were writing it whilst getting a foot rub, LOL. Oh how I would love that. Instead I write mine whist asking my son if he has cleaned his room, put his laundry away and got his school things ready and in his bag ready for school, all usually met with a "no, Ill do it now".
Looking forward to reading more of your blog.
Monnie :)
