Friday I was featured on one of the lovely Cynthia's blogs. She literally made my month! You can check it out HERE!
My mom popped over and took me and the babies out to lunch. I'd been feeling so poorly all week from changing the dose of my medicine, so it felt lovely to get out of the house for a little while.
We took the babies, Em, and my 4 year old nephew to the grocery store after Bob got off work. I may or may not have things to cook this week, I can't remember what I bought it was...an adventure. Then we went to Taco Bell. Watching my 18 month old attempt eat tacos was priceless.
Saturday morning we went to a book sale at our library. As I was buckling Noah into his seat he asked where we were going. I told him to the book sale. He looked down, twisted his his little body around, and felt around his bottom. Then he looked up at me and said, "I sitting on my butt. I don't need another butt". He thought I said we were going to a butt sale. I got a big bag 'o books for nine bucks, and a giant dose of laughter for free!
Saturday afternoon my dad picked up Noah for awhile, and Em was with my aunt, so it was just us and Miss Ellie. Bob and I are tearing up the old flower beds to lay down different colored mulch and some rocks, so the three of us "worked" on the beds for a few hours.
Ellie the big helper.
Saturday evening there was a very important, yet impromptu event held in the living room. The first ever Roth Barbie Hair-Do contest. It lasted literally
Emily was going for classic braids, I was going for Lady Gaga
I think Em was going for "sporty chic" here, while I did a nice bridal updo. Can anyone tell I used to do hair?
For the final round of competition, Em did a lovely summer updo complete with flowers, while I did, "I hope this is the last one because i'm getting a hand cramp".
This has been a very healing Mother's Day, i'm sitting here so relaxed, and feeling hopeful. Now that i'm starting to feel better, i'm hoping to get back into my normal routine of mommy time, baking bread, laundry, housework, dishes...my poor house is screaming for attention, and I swear the laundry is mating!
I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day, and a wonderful weekend!
*If anyone wants to join me on Why I Loved This Weekend, I'd love to put your link on my posts!

Great post! I love the Butt sale! Classic. I'm so glad you had a great Mothers day and I'm very impressed with both you and Erin's hair stylin skills! Thanks for making me smile.
