I used to fancy myself an artist...

What's your passion?  These days mine is being a wife and mama.  But, I had a life before, and in my former life my passion (whether I was good at it, or not) was art.

I found my old portfolio and had to share!

Here's a few examples of work I did when I was a little ol' teenager.

It's been a long time since i've picked up a brush, pencil, or chalk.

My husband and I are cleaning out an area of our basement to make me a studio. I haven't painted in years, and I am really excited to get back into it!

Do you have something you love to do, like painting or drawing?  I'd love for you to share your former or current passion with me!

  1. Great post, it's funny how we can put our passions on hold once the children come along. Motherhood is a pssion of mine, but that alone can't sustain me. I use to sing and tried to go back to it last year but as much as I liked it, it really didn't fit my life at this point. Then I found writing and blogging and I feel alive again in a way I haven't in some time. I now have my own writng corner in my room. Good for you to start an art studio. I love your work, I hope you share some of your newer pices with us. Thanks, I always enjoy your honesty and humor!

  3. NICE! Why did you stop? Sadly, I don't have one bit of artistic or creative ability in me...I envy you!

Good for you, I hope you enjoy your new studio and post more of work! Cynthia

I'm still contemplating what my passion truly is...I ♥ blogging that's about it for now. Lame right?
